BSc Thesis: Internet of Things in agriculture

Our student at the Faculty for Information Systems and Technologies, mr Ivan Jovovic, defended his BSc thesis today on IoT applications in agriculture.

ABSTRACT – This thesis illustrates that it is possible to use Arduino platform in the IoT in order to automate certain processes in the field of agriculture. This thesis explores, in detail, temporary and future abilities of Arduino and Internet of things in everyday life. In the practical part, a portion of those possibilities is proved by construction of the system for automating irrigation processes and collecting important parameters. Thesis explores and proves functionality, simplicity and cost-effectiveness of this practical solution.
