Cooperation Agreement: Blockstruct GmbH from Vienna, Austria

Faculty for Information Systems and Technologies, Universty of Donja Gorica, signed a cooperation agreement with the technology company Blockstruct GmbH from Vienna, Austria. Blockstruct provides a blockchain platform called 0bsnetwork aimed at real-life blockchain applications. In addition to developing 0bsnetwork public blockchain platform, Blockstruct also offers services of blockchain application development, private blockchain deployment, enterprise blockchain Integration, etc. This cooperation agreement includes activities such as promoting and facilitating digitalization of business processes, developing blockchain-based infrastructure, platforms and applications for business use of the technology, and educate students and business professionals on blockchain technology. One of the first goals will be to explore the use of blockchain technology in agriculture and food supply chains in Montenegro.

New IPA II project: ECOMON IoT for Ecomonitoring

New IPA project at UDG: ECOMON – Internet of Things Laboratory for Real-Time Ecological Monitoring has just started at UDG. This project aims at utilizing Internet of Things (IoT) technology and state-of-the-art sensors for ecological and environmental monitoring. The project includes implementation of an in-house IoT lab for ecomonitoring at University of Donja Gorica, as well as realization of field lab based on installation of IoT sensor nodes and sensors throughout Montenegro. This project is of great importance for agricultural sector in Montenegro and we are looking forward to a cross-project collaboration with ECOMON.

Equipment installation visit to peach orchard at Plantaže

The DIPOL team members visited peach orchard at Plantaže to install additional sensor nodes. We added additional soil moisture sensors and pheromone trap and currently all of the devices and sensors are up and running. With this setup we covered all main parts of the orchard. This completes the equipment installation for the peach orchard pilot.
