DIPOL Project Progress Report Evaluation

The report for the first year of DIPOL project has been evaluated and approved by the Ministry of Science. The report earned an average score or 94.5 from the evaluators. The continuation of the project got a “green light” and the financing for the second year of the project has been granted. Due to the COVID19 pandemic, the Ministry has decided to approve a no-cost extension for additional 6 months.

Milocer Development Forum: Digital Transformation against COVID19

The traditional 25th Milocer Development Forum took place at the UDG this year. The theme was “Demistifying digitalization” and there were three panel sessions. The researchers from UDG presented results of the DIGavCOV scientific research project financed through a grant from the Ministry of Science. The main topics of the panels were supporting digital transformation in SMEs, digital payments, and the role of higher education in digital transformation. The researchers from DIPOL project actively took parts in the event as panelists and moderators. The event was featured on TV and news portals link.

FoodHub Centre of Excellence Workshop

Today, UDG hosted a workshop titled “National workshop on obstacles and opportunities for successful application of modern tools for digitization and laboratory testing in the food production chain” organized by FoodHub Centre of Excellence. The event was attended by representatives from partner institutions, Ministy of Science, and industry. We presented previous and current projects, namely TagItWine, DIPOL, DEMETER, and their relation to the work packages in FoodHub project. Focus was on IoT, sensors, the use of Blockchain and product ID for applications in food production and supply chain.

VIRAL: Second Workshop on ICT in Agriculture

The second workshop on ICT in agriculture in a series of trainings within the VIRAL project will be organized on October 06-07th, 2020 in Mostar. The lecturers are professors and researchers from the University Donja Gorica, Wageningen University & Research, University of Maribor, University of Mostar, Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Water management Republic of Srpska and IT company Meta5.

DIPOL and H2020 DEMETER Projects Presented on HighTech-Hub

Our researchers prepared a presentation titled “Digital transformation and smart agriculture” in a form of recorded webinar on HighTech-Hub portal. DIPOL and H2020 DEMETER projects were featured in a blog post as well as in a technical webinar.
